General Description

NW 235T is a Fe-Cr-Al alloy used in arc and flame spraying systems. They can produce dense, well-bonded coatings with excellent wear and high temperature oxidation resistance.

Equivalent to:

TAFA Alcro

Typical Applications

  • Applications where good corrosion and oxidation Resistance is required
  • Applications for wear resistance such as erosion and abrasion
  • Machine element repair and restoration
  • Resistance to chloride-ion attack in marine environments
  • As a replacement for hard chrome plating
  • Bond coats in high-temperature coating systems,
  • Protective coatings against sulphur-containing atmospheres
  • Protective coatings against scaling of conventional low alloy steels.
