General Description
E2553-16 is a coated electrode depositing austenitic ferritic weld metal suitable for welding of duplex stainless steels. It can be used for piping in gas and oil, offshore platforms, welding of duplex stainless steels which contain approximately 25% chromium such as 1.4462. E2553-16 weld deposit combines an increased tensile strength with an improved resistance to pitting, corrosive attack and to stress corrosion cracking.
