General Description
Alloy 31 (UNS N08031/1.4562) is a iron-nickel-chromium-molybdenum stainless steel with nitrogen and cupper additions. Alloy 31 has proven itself to be suitable particularly in the chemical and petrochemical industries, in ore digestion plants, in marine engineering and in oil and gas extraction.
Alloy 31 has outstanding corrosion resistance in alkaline and acidic halide containing media, excellent resistance to sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, chlorine dioxide bleaching plants in paper production.
