General Description
Alloy 20 is a iron based nickel-chromium-molybdenum stainless steel developed to withstand sulfuric acid. The high nickel content combined with chromium, molybdenum and copper gives the alloy excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion and good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
Alloy 20 is used in wide applications up to temperatures of around 500℃. Such as equipments for the manufacturer of sulphuric acid and for processed based on sulphuric acid, production of plastics and synthetic fibers, and equipments for food processing to protect against contamination.
