General Description
253 MA (S30815/1.4835) is an austenitic, heat resistant stainless steel alloyed with nitrogen and suitable for high temperature applications up to 1150 °C.
253 MA is featured with high creep strength, excellent oxidation resistance and good resistance to carburization in constantly carburizing gas. 253 MA can very well take the place of higher alloyed materials such as 25Cr/20Ni steels and Alloy 800H, or even Alloy 600 in certain cases.
